The vision for this multi-functional facility was founded on the concepts of partnership, volunteerism, and community connection. It continues to excel servicing the region in areas of tourism, trade, and community information. With all Centre 2000 has to offer our region, it’s clear that vision has truly come to life.
More than a tourism and community centre, Grande Prairie residents will find many things to do at Centre 2000. Bring your lunch and enjoy the soothing scenery of Muskoseepi Park through large picture windows. Climb to the cupola for exceptional 360 degree views of Grande Prairie. During Christmas, come and take your own family photo where a holiday wonderland will be waiting to serve as a perfect backdrop.
Visitors will find within Centre 2000’s walls a beautiful, inspiring place where new initiatives are born and launched. The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce, Northwestern Alberta Foundation, United Way Alberta Northwest, and The City of Grande Prairie Economic Development – Invest Grande Prairie Office all call Centre 2000 home and continue to add value and support to our community.
Centre 2000 is a beautiful venue for private or public events. Most commonly, the building is booked for boardroom-style meetings or info/educational sessions in the Al Robertson Room. The main foyer can also be set up for holiday or theme parties, fundraisers, etc.
Small groups who wish to spontaneously visit Centre 2000 are encouraged to call ahead to avoid disappointment; there may be events occurring that are using the space.
