Opening its doors in May of 2000, Centre 2000 is a success story of Al Robertson, who envisioned a community centre that would provide a station for tourism, trade, and economic development. In addition to housing these services, Centre 2000 also provides rental space for meetings and special events.
Centre 2000 was founded on the concepts of partnership, volunteerism and community connection. Without the founding partners’ dedication and commitment to the project Centre 2000 would still be but a dream.
Now, nearly two decades later, Centre 2000 has become a cornerstone of the Peace Country. Both the building and accompanying sundial are easily recognizable from the Hwy 43 bypass and the winding trails of Muskoseepi Park. Thousands of visitors have been welcomed through the doors to this multi-functional facility and will continue to be welcomed for decades to come.
